Rocket League ‘Rumble’ mode coming next month
Power Ups in Rocket League act a little like the ones you get in games like Mario Kart, giving you abilities that allow you to attack your opponents, control the ball, or improve your own vehicle’s capabilities. The Rumble mode adds a bunch of insane power ups that players can use for additional tactical play.

The Rumble update is free, and will go live at the end of the Rocket League Championships Live Finals in September. The developers have released a full list of all 11 power-ups that are set to debut here. There’s grappling hooks, ball freeze, tornado, auto spikes and a giant boot that punts your opponents out of the way.
Rumble will be available in online playlists along with private and exhibition matches when it launches sometime next month.
Disruptor (Forces your opponent to drive uncontrollably). Another one is the Freezer, which freezes the ball in-place. There are grappling hooks, which shoots out a spearhead with a string, and then players can reel themselves into the ball. The power-up Plunger lets players throw a plunger and a cord to grab the ball. The Spike grows spikes all around the auto, and locks into the ball whenever contact is made.
Swapper (Change positions on the field with your opponent). The insane Tornado power-up sweeps up the ball and the opponents into a cloud that looks like a small tornado.
