Rodgers expecting exodus at Liverpool FC

Some might find the idea of him earning a loyalty bonus a little ironic, with Brendan Rodgers doing everything he can to shift his misfiring forward

Of that quartet, the Brazil worldwide will be the easiest to offload – Enrique, Balotelli and, to a lesser extent, Borini are reluctant to give up their significant wages – with a number of Italian clubs interested, and, while Rodgers was not definitive on names, he accepts some will want out if they view their chances as limited for this campaign.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is set for a six-figure reward if he stays at Anfield past the end of the current transfer window.

He’s not exclusively to blame for his Liverpool failure, but he’s certainly played a part, as stories of his recent training ground antics (via Daily Mail) suggest.

Rodgers revealed how he has spoken to that opponent, Stoke’s Jonathan Walters, to “thank him” for giving Gomez such a challenge in his first Premeir League start.

“He had a decision this summer and he felt his best opportunity to develop and improve was coming to Liverpool”.

“At the moment he’s enjoying it but he knows there’s a lot to learn.”
