Colin Kaepernick had a little, brief, microscopic shot to change everything about this 49ers quarterback “competition” on Friday in a single quarter of play. “I’ll find out probably shortly before you guys find out”, Rodgers said to ESPN. They ate up a bunch of the clock there and we only had two drives. “We ran a bunch of plays in those two drives and it was up-tempo and that’s important”.
“It’s great to be back out there, great to be back practicing with my teammates and getting ready for this next game”, Kaepernick said.

He became an even more ardent opponent when he saw his No. 1 wide receiver, Jordy Nelson, suffer a season-ending – and, for the rest of the offense, a season-altering – knee injury in a preseason game at Pittsburgh last summer.

Can one catch per exhibition earn Anderson a roster spot?
