Speaking with France’s TMC, Edwards recounted Lucas’ set visit where he admits he ignored his advice. It depends on the story you’re telling I guess. You’ll be able to team up with a Star Wars super guide and get an incredible all day tour including tons of information, Star Wars themed food, access to Star Tours, Launch Bay and reserved seating for the Star Wars shows.

“Like, that was really insane”. That’s not going to happen by the way as Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy recently confirmed the movie will not receive a sequel. “I feel like, at that particular point in the story people are losing their faith in the Force and have this feeling like, ‘No one is coming to help us”.

The director revealed that Lucas gave him some pointers, with a dry sense of wit.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story follows a wayward band of Rebel fighters brought together for one improbable mission: steal the plans for the Death Star. “A part of history, ‘” Edwards said. He talked of how Lucas joked about not building a lot and doing more “in the computer”.

“We didn’t take his advice”.

However, the team did not take his joke as serious advice and shot “in-camera” as much as possible.

IGN also got the chance to interview Gareth Edwards about the politics in Rogue One, the fall of the Jedi in the film, and whether or not Rogue One has become a counter-culture film. “When you combine the two and have a space monkey it’s kind of a dream come true”, says Director Edwards.

Asked whether a similar scene would suit a modern Star Wars movie, Jones told the Press Association: “I don’t think so. So I really can’t wait for you to see the rest of the movie, because it builds and builds”, he stated.
