Edwards said recording the dialogue had been “like an early Christmas present”. “They’ll all have their own style and voice…” It may be the darkest, grittiest Star Wars movie yet – and I mean that in the best way. If you go slightly to the right, you’re just copying what George [Lucas] did.

Also in the panel, there was the reveal of the 2, previously unknown, heroes set to appear in the Death Star DLC.

“Star Wars: Rogue One” stars Feleicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk and Forest Whitaker.

Rogue One focuses on a group of Rebels and Bounty Hunters who attempmt to steal the plan to the original Death Star. The ending of the trailer features the sound of Darth Vader’s iconic breathing and his reflection on a black floor.

That wasn’t the only Battlefront news on offer over the weekend, as DICE revealed their final expansion for the shooter which is due out in December.

Director Gareth Edwards was less committal, replying that: “I think basically there’s a lot of things that I probably can’t talk about, is probably the safest way to answer that“.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy stated that the film will look and feel unique from all other movies in the franchise.

The holiday season is a ideal time to release the DLC as it will also double as a promotional material for “Rogue One”, which is scheduled for theatrical release on December 16.
