Rogue One trailer teases Darth Vader screen return
The second trailer for the highly-anticipated “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” premiered during NBC’s coverage of the Olympics (sorry for stealing your thunder, swimmers!) and the Internet is going bananas over the appearance of Darth Vader. Felicity Jones leads the cast as Jyn Erso alongside Mads Mikklesen who plays her father, Galen Erso.

Rogue One is the story of a ragtag bunch of outlaws who must band together to steal the plans of the most formidable weapon ever created: The Death Star (it’s always the Death Star). It’s the first of the new “Star Wars Stories”, otherwise known as the spinoff movies that don’t get episode numbers.
“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will be released in US cinemas on December 16, 2016.
It was also recently revealed that Rogue One will finish a mere ten minutes before the 1977 original A New Hope begins, making the two films ideal double-bill fodder. It has recently been revealed that the film will end 10 minutes before the original 1977 movie Star Wars: A New Hope begins.
Disney and Lucasfilm have finally released the new trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and if you’re a true Star Wars fan, it will get you hyped!
Our excitement went into overdrive after the first trailer surfaced a few months ago and this latest one has certainly done nothing to dampen it. We saw and heard Kaytoo, the new droid voiced by Alan Tudyk talk. Rogue One director Garerth Edwards did confirm, nearly in passing, that James Earl Jones, the real Darth Vader, had recorded some lines for a character but played hard to get when it came down to which character.
Rogue One opens on December 16.
