However, the player has revealed that he would rejoin the Gunners if they want him to at the end of the season, when his loan deal with the Giallorossi expires.
“I love Arsenal, but at Roma I feel fine”.
“My future will be decided after the European Championship”, he told Polish website przegladsportowy.pl. I have the confidence of the coach, my team-mates and the fans. Coming to Rome was the best choice.
“I will decide my future after the Euros, though being starter at the runners-up in Italy is better than being on the bench in England”.
And Roma’s director of football Walter Sabatini has confirmed the club are keen to keep Szczesny on.
‘I actually wanted to stay and challenge him for the spot but after a conversation with Wenger it was obvious that I should be looking for new opportunities, ‘ he said.
“We are working on it and would like to keep Szczesny, but knowing Arsenal it will be hard to achieve that”, director of sport Sabatini told reporters today.

The other first-team goalkeepers in the Roma squad are 37-year-old Bogdan Lobont and 38-year-old Morgan de Sanctis, both of whose contracts expire in the summer.
