Roman firing was best decision moving forward

“We’ve got to get better, so we’ve got to look at the tape and realize it starts with us”.

While the first hammer to fall came on Roman, don’t be surprised if we see a few other Bills coaches, including potentially the Ryan brothers, over the next few weeks of the 2016 National Football League season. To their credit, it never mattered what we played because they were the better team today outcome, the idea.

Bills receiver Sammy Watkins started despite experiencing soreness in his surgically repaired left foot this past week.

It is no coincidence that these changes come after a loss to the Jets.

The Bills have been downright putrid on one side of the ball in each of their first two losses.

The Bills have 10 days to prepare for their Week 3 game with the Arizona Cardinals and visit the New England Patriots in Week 4. The team also can not dwell on the past two games, and will have to trust in each other and the coaching staff to try and find a way to start putting up some numbers on the win column.

Prior to hiring Ryan to succeed Doug Marrone as their head coach last season, the Bills interviewed Roman for the vacancy. Ryan has coached through job whispers before, but it’s unsettling if it becomes an issue so early in his Bills tenure. If this is going to be Rex’s final season in Buffalo, he wants to do it his way. Lynn also has had the title of assistant head coach. According to a new report from ESPN, it’s all on Ryan, and not on Bills management. It was a game in which Jets players made play after play and kept their offense on the field for over 39 minutes which wore down the Bills defense.

When Rex Ryan took over as head coach after the 2014 season, he inherited a defense that finished fourth in yards and points allowed.

While Buffalo scored on touchdown passes of 84 and 71 yards and got a 36-yard fumble return by its defense, the Jets dominated time of possession and wore down the Bills.

Currently, it’s looking more likely that it will be out instead of up, with Ryan eventually having something in common with Roman: Getting paid to not work for the Bills.

Fast forward to September 16, 2016, and the Bills have now played 18 games under Rex Ryan.

After the game, Marshall told reporters: “I thought it was over”.

Ryan, nearly to a fault, is one of the most loyal coaches in the industry. That endless belief is one of Ryan’s best traits, but it will be tested over the coming weeks.
