The accused, whose pictures were released by the police on Tuesday, was taken into custody by the Mumbai Police late Tuesday night.

DGP Loknath Behara said vital information on the mode of operandi of the accused is expected come out in another three days time.

There are also chances that Marian is trying to confuse the investigators with his statements.

A Romanian national arrested on charge of fraudulent withdrawal of money from ATMs in the state capital was on Friday sent to police custody till August 22 by a Thiruvananthapuram court.

Kerala Police officials accompanied him on a commercial flight from Mumbai. The police will take Gabriel today to Kerala to collect evidence.

Police identified the fourth fraudster as Florin Ion whose details were not immediately available.

The officer said the support of cyber and technical experts was sought to understand the technical method used by the fraudsters to withdraw the money.

“The Mumbai Police will first produce him before a court there and only then we will get him in custody”, he told PTI.

Marian and his friends were in Kerala last month and are believed to have stayed at the state capital and beach destination in Kovalam.

They conspired and manufactured fake ATM cards with the data they obtained and withdrew money from ATMs in Mumbai, the FIR said.

Marian was arrested by Mumbai police on Tuesday when he was withdrawing money from an ATM in the Station Plaza. Another report said that he was nabbed from a hotel in Vashi.

Marian said his gang included three other Romanians who have left India.

The Kerala Police has seized Rs 2,00,000 from his possession, a laptop and some electronic equipment.

The police is also probing if any local helped out the gang members.

However, the investigators appear to have hit a wall as Marian refuses to cooperate.
