The two couples will be overnight guests of Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney at his 11-acre estate in Wolfeboro, N.H., the Post said.

Mitt Romney found out Marco Rubio and Chris Christie would be in New Hampshire for July Fourth parades.

He traveled to New Hampshire to endorse Romney for President in 2011 and was was a featured speaker at the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, where Romney accepted the GOP nomination.

He was referring to the handful of 2016 Republican hopefuls, most notably former New York Gov. George Pataki, who have slammed Trump over his remarks, in which he referred to a few Mexican immigrants as “rapists” and “killers”.

“It was great of him to reach out and contact me and say, ‘You’re gonna be up here, stay with us, ‘” he said.

Since that decision, Romney, reported the Washington Post, has spoken with Rubio at least twice on the phone and “encouraged and mentored the 43-year-old Florida senator about the political landscape, reported by a Romney associate”.
