Romo gives Cowboys scare in loss to Seattle

Elliott, who was playing in his first National Football League “game” after missing the first two with a hamstring injury, told the Dallas Morning News: “I don’t know what that was”.

Speaking after the Cowboys’ 27-17 road loss to the Seahawks, Jones said that Elliott’s apparent misadventure at the pot shop was “part of the learning process” all rookies have to go through. Romo immediately grabbed at his back and was tended to by trainers for a few minutes before popping up and walking off the field without any assistance. “He was not hurt and he said he wasn’t hurt”. Two plays later, Elliott blew up the Seahawks defender who came in on a blitz and Romo took off. Rookie backup quarterback Dak Prescott has made the most of extended opportunities this preseason, completing 78 percent of his passes for 454 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions.

Tony Romo said he had tightness in his back but he felt just pretty fine, and lobbied coach Jason Garrett to return to the running contest. Despite not playing until week three of the preseason, Cowboys No. 4 overall pick, Ezekiel Elliott announced, with authority, via 7 carries for 48 yards and one thumping of Seahawks S, Cam Chancellor that THE MAN in Dallas has arrived. Dallas coach Jason Garrett opted to play it safe and Romo donned a baseball hat as a spectator the rest of the night.

“I was, because there was no film on him, so I didn’t know if he was going to juke or whatnot, so I was a little surprised, but not the second time”, Chancellor said, via ESPN. Again it is only the preseason and back in 2014 Romo was coming off of back surgery with no preseason experience that season. The quarterback’s right leg bent up under him and he landed awkwardly, clearly twisting his back as Avril fell on top of him.

This is not Tony Romo’s first rodeo with suffering from an injury.

Romo opened this unseasonably warm evening in the Pacific Northwest with an 11-yard completion to Terrance Williams. Prescott has been great in each of the three games he’s played, and even coming off the bench in a different role last night, simply looks unflappable.

The Dolphins’ defense, led by a strong push from defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and the return of defensive end Cameron Wake, kept the Falcons out of the end zone.

Elliott played pretty well but that's not what people are talking about
