Though nobody is working almost hard enough to get Hellboy 3 off the ground, it looks like Ron Perlman will at least get to play one fantastical beast in a coming franchise movie. Perlman wouldn’t be the first goblin to be featured on screen in the Harry Potter cinematic universe.
The movie is now shooting in England with Eddie Redmayne starring as Newt Scamander, the wizarding world’s preeminent magizoologist.
What’s interesting about the casting news is that a goblin is usually portrayed as a small skinny creature, but Perlman clearly has contrast physical characteristics.
Voight, Chan, and Ejogo join an already stacked cast including Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, and Samantha Morton.
Warner Bros. will unleash Fantastic Beasts in November 2016.
David Yates sits behind the lens and Rowling is making her screenwriting debut for the film.

Perlman’s recent credits include the LGBT rights drama Stonewall and the Amazon series Hand of God.
