Real Madrid go into the clash with Rayo Vallecano just a point behind both Barcelona and Atlético Madrid at the top of La Liga with four matches remaining.

Well, Cristiano Ronaldo will play against Manchester City in the first leg of their Champions League in Semi Final On Tuesday, 26 April 2016.

Los Blancos’ title bid looked to be wavering when they fell two goals behind inside 14 minutes, but a brace from Gareth Bale and a Lucas Vasquez header saw Zinedine Zidane’s side record all the points. “He’ll stay behind. We’ll see what he’s like for the game after that”, Zidane said at a Press conference.

“He wants to play more, of course, that I agree, but like everyone else there are times when you play less”.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported that the prolific striker has been ruled out of Madrid’s La Liga game at Rayo Vallecano on Saturday.

Real Madrid said Wednesday that Ronaldo was expected to have medical tests as a precaution but the injury did not appear to be serious.

“Things like [the strain] can happen sometimes but I don’t see any problem with him playing every game, it’s what he always does and what he always wants to do”.

Manchester City will prove a hard opponent for Real Madrid, according to Emmanuel Adebayor.

The Portuguese star said: “It is not always easy to find so many top players that can play together at the same time in the same team”. We made up the difference because we were patient and we knew that we had quality players who could make the difference.

“In Spain, they may think that Madrid will win, but I guarantee you it will be a hard tie”. “He is super-ambitious, he wants to play every game, to score goals even when he is sleeping”.

Real Madrid came close to taking the lead in the third minute when Bale struck one from the edge of the box, but the Welshman’s low effort rattled the post before dropping wide of Juan Carlos’s goal.

Cobeno, Diego Llorente, Ebert and Javi Guerra are sure to miss for the hosts, as are Tono and Ze Castro, while the visitors will certainly play without the suspended Casemiro, and the rest of the places is up for the grabs. I hope it is nothing and he can play on Tuesday’.
