Ronaldo to play first match since injury
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has advised club president Florentino Perez to offer him a new 10-year contract extension, after the Portugal captain belatedly began his 2016-17 campaign with a goal in Madrid’s 5-2 La Liga win at home to Osasuna.

Cristiano Ronaldo is “convinced” that Real Madrid will win La Liga this season.
Madrid rivals Atletico earlier recorded their first win of the season with a 4-0 away thrashing of Celta Vigo thanks to goals from Koke, Angel Correa and a brace from Antoine Griezmann.
“I [rotated] the team as I did for the global break and the many games that await us”, the Coach said after the game.
In quotes attributed to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Ronaldo said: “I’m the most searched player on the internet. It is a long competition, but I am convinced we will win this year”.
Ronaldo, back from a knee injury picked up with Portugal during the Euro 2016 final, tapped in Gareth Bale’s cross.
The 31-year-old’s contract in the Spanish capital runs out in 2018, and rumours about his future have already surfaced over the past few months, with some sources claiming the Portugal global has hinted he could leave when his contract expires.
The 31-year old also expressed his desire to end his footballing career with Real Madrid in the future.
“Football is my everything, I haven’t learn any work apart from football so every day I make sure when I go to training, I practice very well”, Donsu told YFM. Right now, I don’t see anything that can happen to prevent me ending my career at Real Madrid. It was in the heat of the moment, but I am very happy with what we did as a team today.
Last campaign saw Bale as Real Madrid’s most unsafe player on the flank with Ronaldo being prolific as ever in front of goals.
“I’m fit again and got back in the swing of things, and I scored a goal, so it was ideal”, he exclaimed. “That is what I want most”. “It is the biggest club in the world and the best players are here”.

Barcelona’s movement in the transfer market had been widely hailed as the best of any Spanish side this summer as they added depth and youth to a squad that had won back-to-back La Liga and Copa del Rey doubles.
