Ronda Rousey Eerily Predicted How She Would Lose

Ronda Rousey has taken a beating – in and out of the octagon – that has extended from Melbourne, Australia, site of her UFC 193 fight, to Venice, Calif., where she grew up. The reigning Women’s Bantamweight Champion has landed movie roles and magazine covers; trademarked her favorite insult; and offered stinging political commentary. Rousey’s invincible aura was broken at UFC 193, but a second fight with Holm to try and reclaim the title would assuredly draw huge numbers.

While her invicibility may be gone, Rousey will have a chance to win her title back soon.

Holm’s nickname is “The Preacher’s Daughter”: That’s because, yep, her dad is a preacher for the Church of Christ. Holm immediately jumped on Rousey and delivered several blows before the referee, Herb Dean, stopped the fight, stunning the audience and Rousey’s corner. We’ll have to stay tuned to find out.

However, first of all she will take a break from UFC after the brutal knockout which required her to spend a night in hospital.

“I just felt like, ‘How could I not do this, with all that love?'”

Despite her strong background in Judo, Rousey attempted to engage Holm on her feet in the first round, eating several punches to the face as she tried unsuccessfully to corner and outbox the veteran kickboxer.

Rousey claimed a bronze medal in judo at the 2008 Beijing Olympics before fighting her way to the top of the UFC and Dolce said she would draw on that experience ahead of a probable re-match against Holm. This loss has ended the latter’s 12-0 record – her first loss in her entire UFC career, Yahoo! “I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I’m fine”.

“She will be back, absolutely, she is an awesome athlete”, Dolce told reporters in Sydney.

“I think a rematch makes sense, for sure”, Holm said on Saturday night during the post-fight press conference as quoted by NESN. Rousey has also signed on to star in the remake of Road House and a biopic based off her autobiography. “I feel healthy, which is always what you want after a fight”. She had appeared arrogant and was openly disrespectful towards her opponent, which did not go unnoticed by MMA fans who took to Twitter and vented their thoughts about Rousey and the result of the fight.
