Ronda Rousey’s motivated response to Miesha Tate shocker
Former UFC bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey shared her reaction after rival Miesha Tate choked out the woman who took the title from her, former professional boxer Holly Holm.

Amazingly, this isn’t even the first time that the Biebs has picked a fight with a UFC champ. “So, I don’t know”. Diaz is notorious for that, and as I wrote, got stronger as the fight went on. She’s still the best athlete in the division, and stripped bare of the idea that she can do whatever she wants expect a resolute and determined fighter to emerge.
McGregor had landed some heavy left-hand shots of his own in the first round, opening up a cut over Diaz’s right eye that streamed blood as he struggled to cope with McGregor’s quick feet and hands. She went unconscious, still throwing punches into the air in front of her.
A black belt in jiu-jitsu, Diaz then slipped behind him and applied the choke hold that finished the fight, silencing the thousands of Irish fans for the first time on the night.
However, White would surely like to have a match featuring at least one of his female stars on the UFC 200 card, and if Rousey is not ready, he may opt for Holm-Tate 2. Jones hasn’t fought since a hit-and-run charge back in April of 2015 which caused him to be stripped of his title.
Despite suffering defeat against Diaz, McGregor is reportedly set to pick up a $1 million fight purse – the biggest in UFC history – as well as a cut of the fight’s pay-per-view revenue.
“What changed me and what I think changed a lot of people about women’s MMA was Tate vs. Rousey”, White said in 2012.
Winning the belt without taking it back from the one who kicked her lights out will fall a bit short of the glorious return to the top of the UFC though. “He’s a hard-hitting little guy, but nothing I never felt before”.
I don’t know if she’ll ever come back the same. “It cost me everything tonight, but I’ll be back”. Rising up to join the group at No. 4 is Amanda Nunes, who made her case for a title bid by out-grappling sixth-ranked Valentina Shevchenko for the better part of three rounds on the UFC 196 main card. Since then, she’s ascended the ranks and was undefeated until her bout with Tate.
When asked about the result after the fight, Diaz provided the ideal answer. She’s a calculated fighter. I took a chance and it didn’t work out. “It was stupid, and I should have fought it off more”.

“I enjoyed the fact that a fighter could take the shots and keep coming… he went into autopilot mode with the shots and I went into panic mode”.
