Ronda Rousey says she wants to play Captain Marvel in a movie

In a leaked email, in May this year, Marvel Studios CEO Ike Perlmutter warned Sony against an attempt to create a female superhero movie. Hence, all the money.

Now she wants to play the role of Ms Marvel in the upcoming Ms Marvel movie scheduled for release in 2018.

Rousey is no stranger to acting too, even though she only scored her first acting gig in 2014 in the movie “The Expendables 3”. “Thanks for doing this AMA!” user WiFiForeheadWrinkles queried.

“Since the reddit Fakat I’ve collected a great number of naughty Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel editing!” The masculinity evoked by UFC fights does little to suppress the charisma emanating from Rousey, who seems to embrace and celebrate her femininity while snapping arms and taking names.

Captain Marvel, a.k.a. Carol Danvers, developed her powers as a result of a genetic adjustment, making her a human-Kree hybrid.

If Cyborg wins, she’s the champ, Rousey came up to her weight class, but remains the bantamweight champ.

How Ms. Marvel became Captain Marvel is somewhat typical comic politics.

During a Reddit AMA last week, fans sent Rousey artwork depicting her as Captain Marvel, a/k/a Carol Danvers. It will join other Phase Three movies like Black Panther starring Chadwick Boseman and Doctor odd featuring Benedict Cumberbatch.

Rousey, however, is not alone in professing her interest for the role as Vikings’ Katheryn Winnick, Jurassic World’s Bryce Dallas Howard and Edge of Tomorrow’s Emily Blunt have also expressed their desire to play the part.

Maybe it could be Rousey. She’s getting after them and the guys are timid, and she’s like the alpha, for sure.

There are not many directors out there who would be willing to waive their fee just to give a character they were passionate about the big screen treatment, but apparently Lexi Alexander is one such individual.

Is there anyone more fitting for the role?

Oh! No one’s offered me that officially, so it’s …

It could help Rousey’s cause in campaigning for the part that we now have a pretty good idea of how she’d look as that superhero.

Personally I’ve always been in the Katee Sackhoff camp, though the former Battlestar Gallactica star probably doesn’t have the profile for a role that big. But can she act?
