Ronda Rousey made her very very cool WWE debut at Wrestlemania 31 this past March where she and The Rock took on Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

But a boxer she is not, which is why fans of the seemingly forgotten American sport are up in arms over Rousey being on “The Ring” magazine cover for the January 2016 issue.

According to Heavy, Diesel’s decision to get his daughter a little bit of self defense training is something he’s been considering for quite a few time.

She joins transgender model Geena Rocero, venture capitalist Mary Meeker, civil rights activist DeRay Mckesson, Arizona Cardinals coach Jen Welter, entrepreneur Tristan Walker, rapper Common, his mother Mahalia Hines, technologist Kimberly Bryant and tennis champion Billie Jean King in an edition which has been guest edited by Serena Williams. Apparently, Diesel believes that with Rousey’s expertise, his daughter, Hania Riley Sinclair, should be in good hands.

It seemed that many boxing fans were displeased with Rousey’s presence. Diesel and Rousey struck up a friendship during the filming of “Fast and Furious 7”.

It’s been two months since Miesha Tate was hit with the news that she wouldn’t be lining up against Ronda Rousey for a third time at UFC 193 on November 15, but that disappointment still hurts.
