‘Room’ actor Jacob Tremblay delivers adorable acceptance speech at

Amy Schumer got the Best Actress in a Comedy award for her role in “Trainwreck”, and she also took the Critics’ Choice MVP Award.

The Critics’ Choice Awards were held to celebrate the film and television industry on Sunday. In the comedy arena it was “Master of None” that won the top prize, while “Mr. Robot” won Best Drama Series.

Jacob Tremblay, nine, stood on a box to accept the best young actor/actress award for his role opposite Larson in Room.

The Big Short, about the 2008 financial meltdown, won the best comedy category, while Inside Out was awarded the best animated feature.

McAdams was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress, which ended up going to Alicia Vikander of “The Danish Girl”.

It wasn’t only the stunningly good looking actors with the most fancy attires that got the enormous amount of attention during the Critics’ Choice ceremony.

Spotlight, about Boston Globe reporters uncovering a Catholic Archdiocese child molestation scandal, won Best Picture while Miller’s directing win helps his Oscar chances against Inarritu. Jeffrey Tambor won lead actor for “Transparent”, while Rachel Bloom won lead actress for “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”.

“They got snubbed, but there are lots of other great films that got snubbed as well”, said Neil Brown Jr. before the show began. The awards were hosted by Silicon Valley comic T.J. Miller.

Schumer continued to crack up the audience by referring to herself as a “plus-plus-sized actress”, and joke about hiring or firing the members of her “team”.

Best Foreign Language Film: “Son of Saul”.
