In new head coach Fred Hoiberg’s space-and-pace offense, Rose will have to become more efficient with the ball. Jimmy Butler was already going to be the focus of this team moving forward and now he can take that mantle even more. Is it time to dangle Derrick Rose on the trade market and see what type of value he has?
“We don’t know how much he’ll be able to do even while he’s in recovery mode, but he still will be here, learning”, Hoiberg said.
That’s good, since tragic heroes aren’t meant to be loved.

A big key, of course, is Roses health. He can barely manage to stay on the court, and when he does he seems to play too cautiously to have a significant enough impact.

The most challenging part of moving Rose to another club though is his extremely lucrative contract. And that’s unfortunate for the Bulls as an organization. Its just getting through this..
