Rosie O’Donnell Opens Up About Her Daughter Chelsea Moving Out
The teenager denied she is mentally ill in a recent interview with Inside Edition, and said she “cares” about O’Donnell but “wouldn’t really use” the word “love”.

When Inside Edition contacted Rosie about the interview, she had no comment. While she seems to have tried to keep the family’s personal information on the down-low, it seems as if Rosie feels the need to clarify certain information as it is brought up to her.
The 53-year-old television personality discussed her teenage daughter with reporters at her annual Rosie’s Theater Kids gala. Chelsea, who turned 18 shortly after the incident, now tells a different story, claiming that Rosie kicked her out of the house. She later moved out of Rosie’s home to live with her birth mother and is now living with her boyfriend’s family in New Jersey.
“I’m glad we know where she is”, O’Donnell told “Extra” last night.
“This is not new”, she said. “So, we hope that she is safe, number one, and that she finds her way back home”. “Casual in that this is not the end of the world, but serious in the fact that your child who you’ve adopted is sharing intimately how challenging it is to have two mothers, a biological one and an adoptive one, and that is different and harder than the experience of kids who were birthed into their families”.
The event, which included an auction, raised over $800,000 for the organization, which has provided more than 50,000 New York City students – more than 75 per cent of them from underserved communities – with classes in music, dance and drama, as well as mentoring and academic guidance. And something about being able to serve them, I think, serves us all’.
Rosie’s friend, actress and Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth was honored at Monday’s celebration, and the TV star could not stop gushing about her talented pal. And she’s as kind as she is talented.
“Rosie and Tatum Arm-In-Arm on Red Carpet!” is categorized as “entertainment”.
“I usually don’t stay up that late”, she told ET, “but usually if I see his name, I skip”.

It seems as if Chelsea O’Donnell has found a few form of peace now that she has put a few space between herself and Rosie, and even though it breaks her heart, Rosie O’Donnell stands by what she has said many times.
