Rotherham United appoint Neil Redfearn as manager
Redfearn surprisingly doesn’t have all that much managerial experience, with his first full time gig in the football league coming in 2014-2015 with Leeds; aside from managing Scarborough and Northwich Victoria, he’d only ever had a job as a caretaker.

Rotherham are thought to have whittled down their shortlist to three candidates with an appointment expected over the weekend or early next week. Would you be happy with Redfearn in charge?
Alan Stubbs and Dean Smith are both still in the race but Neil Redfearn seems all-but-confirmed to be heading to the New York Stadium.
The club made an official announcement this afternoon and the former Leeds United boss will be unveiled at a press conference on Monday.
They said in a statement: “Redfearn came out on top after a meticulous selection process where he impressed chairman Tony Stewart and the board of directors with his vision for the future of the club”.
Redfearn’s first game as Millers boss will be the trip to fellow strugglers Brentford on Saturday, 17 October.
After exiting Leeds following an acrimonious fall-out with owner Massimo Cellino, the Yorkshireman’s legal representatives managed to sort out a compensation deal, before he set his sights on a return to frontline coaching and management.

The Millers are now 21st in the Championship, having picked up eight points from their 10 league matches so far.
