Football season is now officially underway as the Pittsburgh Steelers faced the Minnesota Vikings in Sunday night’s preseason-opneing Hall of Fame Game. Coach Mike Tomlin termed it a significant left leg injury.NOTES: Vikings RB Adrian Peterson was in uniform but did not play….

Holy crap, football’s back! “He had a great career here in Pittsburgh and it’s great he’s going to be honored the right way”.

The Vikings’ first possession of the day may have been the most impressive by either team, though it didn’t end in a score. Unfortunately, all it led to was a missed 48-yard field goal attempt by Blair Walsh. The play set up the first score, Suisham’s 36-yard field goal.

Odds: Steelers +3 per Bovada Online Sportsbook. Jones completed 15 of 32 passes for 128 yards and an interception while taking almost every Pittsburgh snap. Pruitt ran a wheel route out of the backfield to get wide open for a touchdown.

Oh, and the line is Vikings by 3.5 points, at least over on Odds Shark.

Jones regressed in his second half of play, throwing the ball wildly and finished the game 11-for-22 for 106 yards.

Diggs took it back for 66 yards, falling just a few inches short from a touchdown. The Steelers quarterback isn’t scheduled to play against Minnesota. “It shows in games”.

As of Friday, you could get a ticket to the Steelers first home exhibition game against the Carolina Panthers for seven dollars.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer was a little more coy about how much his starters would play but he gave the impression that lots of them would be missing in action Sunday Night. The Vikings also have Charles Johnson coming in after a solid season last year and he could have a bigger role this year. If nothing else, Dupree could steal some passing-down work from Moats, who proved valuable last season against the run. He’s looked good in camp and finished a year ago strong.

Enjoy the game, and as always, GO STEELERS! That is quite obvious. Expect this to be a low-scoring game as the Steelers need to concentrate more on defensive reps than offense. He’s looked the best among the Steelers’ backup tackles, and if he’s able to keep it up, he may end up becoming a legitimate candidate to sneak on the roster.

“It has been fun for me, but I am ready to go out there to see what the NFL is all about and try to showcase my abilities”, said Dupree, who is battling for a starting spot at outside linebacker.
