Founder and president of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar de la Hoya made an appearance Monday morning on Good Day L.A.to promote Saturday’s Miguel Cotto-Saul Alvarez bout, but the talk eventually turned to Ronda Rousey and the UFC star’s recent upset loss to Holly Holm.

Rousey claimed a bronze medal in judo at the 2008 Beijing Olympics before fighting her way to the top of the UFC and Dolce said she would draw on that experience ahead of a probable re-match against Holm.
Holm (10-0) jumped on the prone Rousey, delivering several blows to her head before the referee intervened, ending Rousey’s 12-fight unbeaten run and handing Holm the bantamweight title.
“Anybody who does come out with the victory should give the rematch”, Holm said.
There were rumors that Rousey suffered a broken jaw, but that is not the case. “So I expected her to be aggressive and impose her will on me”.
But obviously in better spirits yesterday, she posted on Instagram.
“Every once in a while there would be a guy who would say something like, ‘She thought she could fight (Floyd) Mayweather, but she couldn’t even box Holm, ‘ ” Never told USA TODAY Sports, referring to Rousey’s verbal jousting with Mayweather, the retired champion boxer. Instead, Holm, a 34-year-old veteran female boxer from Albuquerque, New Mexico, has the championship belt.
“I feel there’s a lot of emotion in Ronda that I hadn’t seen before … but I [felt] like I had an edge and wanted to stay focused”, Holm said. “I appreciate the concerns about my health, but I am fine. As I mentioned before I am going to take a little bit of time, but I’ll be back”.
Rousey already looks likely to get her chance to avenge the defeat in a rematch.
“Ronda has lost before, she lost at the Olympic games”, Dolce said.
“She’s the type of fighter you have to be very patient with”, Rousey explained to Fallon.

Rousey spent the night in hospital in accordance with UFC rules after being knocked out cold.
