“‘These eBooks, with writing curated by Pottermore, will take you beyond the Harry Potter stories as J.K. Rowling reveals her inspiration, intricate details of characters” lives and surprises from the wizarding world’.
The third tome Hogwarts: An Incomplete And Unreliable Guide intends to “bring the school of witchcraft and wizardry alive”.
The second book will be sure to excite Potter fans as the story will revolve around Professor Minerva McGonagall and, Remus Lupin.
Rowling’s most recent installment in line with the “Harry Potter” franchise, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”, has sold more than 3.3 million copies.
Bad news for print fans though – although each book will be around 10,000 words, around novella length, readers will need to magic up a Kindle or other ereader as there are now no plans for physical releases. It stars Eddie Redmayne as wizard Newt Scamander and Colin Farrell as his pursuer, Percival Graves. These are “bite-sized” digital books that will “dig deep into the Harry Potter stories”.
The ebooks are technically announced for the United Kingdom only at present, though there are product listings for each of them on the US websites for major retailers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Apple iBooks.
