Rashford was chosen in Roy Hodgson for England’s Euro 2016 squad after breaking through into the Manchester Utd first team and scoring on his worldwide debut.

Rashford opened the scoring less than two and a half minutes into his senior worldwide debut on Friday, a 2-1 win against Australia in Sunderland.
Daniel Sturridge is among five Liverpool players included in Roy Hodgson’s final 23-man England squad for Euro 2016.
At that time, Hodgson was downplaying talk of Rashford forcing his way into England contention in time for Euro 2016.
They open their Euro 2016 Group B campaign with a match against Russian Federation in Marseille on Saturday June 11 before taking on Wales in Lens on Thursday June 16 and Slovakia in Saint-Etienne on Monday June 20.
Striker Marcus Rashford has earned a place in the England squad after scoring in his worldwide debut against Australia last week.
Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling have been included despite poor form in recent weeks, while Jack Wilshere and Jordan Henderson earned places as expected, having worked their way back to full fitness.
This has been an unforgettable season for the Premier League champion, but the fairytale will not end with a trip to France. Hodgson may yet take both, though, and take one fewer midfielders.
The rest of the squad were informed of Hodgson’s selections at a team meeting shortly afterwards.
“The seasons been a huge positive for me”.
“I think he’s had an absolutely outstanding season. But I am not prepared to say the side that starts tomorrow [against Portugal] will start against Russian Federation”. “While he was at Tottenham he wasn’t even getting the opportunity because he wasn’t playing”. With Fabian Delph already ruled out due to a groin injury, there were only two other players who had to be cut.

England manager Roy Hodgson named his 23-man squad for the tournament this summer earlier this week and his decision caused plenty of debate.
