Royal Baby has Arrived and It is a Boy

Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge have finally become proud parents of a baby boy. Kate Middleton gave birth to her son in a London Hospital on Monday Afternoon. Reacting to the news, Prince Charles, father of prince Williams, said in a  statement that both he and his wife are feeling overjoyed as it is their first grandchild. The baby boy was born in the same hospital where Prince William was born 31 years ago. According to a statement issued by Buckingham Palace, both the mother and the child are doing quite well and Kate Middleton will remain overnight in the hospital. Prince William will also spend the night in the hospital.

William and KatePrince William released a statement through his spokesperson saying both he and his wife are overjoyed by the arrival of their first baby. The name of the royal baby will be announced shortly in due course of time. In the case of Prince William, Prince Charles and Princess Diana took around a week to announce his name. The baby boy will be a new heir to the royal throne and he will be third in line after his grandfather Prince Charles and father Prince William. Incidentally, the baby boy is the first grandchild for the Middleton family also.

 

Prince Charles said that he is feeling proud to be a grandparent for the first time. He added that he is eagerly looking forward to seeing the boy once he is back from the hospital. He said that it is a special moment of happiness for Prince William and Kate Middleton but for him it is a unique moment in life as he has become a granddad for the first time in life.

 

The Queen was elated to hear the news of the arrival of the baby boy to Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge. SheRoyal Baby was to leave for her annual vacation to Scotland later this week but might cancel the vacation to welcome her great grandchild to the Buckingham palace. Prime Minister of England, David Cameron, welcomed the news saying this was a special moment for the entire nation as the royal baby arrived.  President Obama and his wife Michele congratulated the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the happy occasion of the birth of their first child.  They wished them all the happiness and all the blessings that parenthood brings along with it.

 

Kate Middleton was admitted to St. Mary’s hospital at around 6 AM local time on Monday and she arrived in a royal car and not in an ambulance. This is the same hospital where Princess Diana gave birth to both Prince William and Prince Harry in 1982 and 1984 respectively. The birth of the royal baby was overseen by Queen’s former and current gynecologists Marcus Setchell and Alan Farthing. On 17th of July, Queen Elizabeth had jokingly remarked that she hoped the royal baby arrives soon as she was going on her annual vacation.
