The photos, which were released Friday on Twitter, show the royal toddler playing at Anmer Hall, his family’s country home in the southeastern part of the country.

George, who is third-in-line to the British throne, will celebrate his birthday today with a party fit for a king. While dog-safe ice cream and desserts exist, it is unclear whether the kind Prince George is holding qualifies as safe and healthy for dogs. To mark their son’s special day, the royal couple shared new photographs of Prince George – and they are absolutely adorable!

“I really enjoyed the opportunity to take these photographs of Prince George. It was a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere”, the message from Porteous reads.

“Here are some new photos of Prince George on his 3rd birthday!” the palace tweeted, along with an image of the boy wearing a blue and beige striped sweater with a whale on it and khaki shorts. “I’m honoured that they have made a decision to share these images with the public to mark his third birthday”, Porteous said.

In the first picture, Prince George sits on a swing staring straight into the camera.

The other photos in the set feature George on a swing, thought to be a wedding gift to his parents.

In the final shot, the happy birthday boy is seen on one knee feeding the family dog Lupo.

The cocker spaniel is a strain of the breed traditionally used as a gundog – and they can cause havoc around the house.

The RSPCA said it was not a good idea to give dogs ice cream meant for humans as they can be hard for dogs to digest.

The statement continued, “Instead of ice-cream we would suggest making an ice lolly from pet-friendly ingredients”.
