They needed a lot of hits – a maybe a little help, too.

The AL Division Series between the Houston Astros and the Kansas City Royals continues on Columbus Day with Game 4 from Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. “That’s the mentality for this whole entire team. That’s what a championship ballclub does”.

Coming in Game 4 of this Major League Baseball Playoffs series the Astros lead 2-1, and have home field advantage.

Correa, a 21-year-old rookie, would hit his second bomb of the game later in the seventh inning off relief pitcher Ryan Madson to give Houston a 5-2 lead.

He said his family never experienced anything like what happened Monday night, and he could only imagine what the families were going through. “I wish I was flawless, I wish I could do everything ideal, but I’m not, I’m human”. “Including me”, Astros manager A.J. Hinch said. “But it’s a big-boy sport. We’ll adjust, and we will be ready to play”.

Abbott’s defense? It was his office that sent the tweet, not him.

A five-run eighth inning put Kansas City up 7-6 thanks to RBI singles from Lorenzo Cain and Eric Hosmer as well as RBI groundouts from Kendrys Morales and Alex Gordon.

“Just a weird spin on the ball and tough play”, Sipp said. I sure hope none of them get middle seats – that could get ugly.

Who would you give the ball to in Game 5?

Gregerson struck out Rios to end the inning, but the damage done was compounded in the top of the ninth when Hosmer crushed a two-run home run to stretch the lead.

The Royals will start Yordano Ventura as the starting pitcher.

After shutting down the Yankees in the wild card game at Yankee Stadium for six innings last week-on just three days rest-the lefty followed that up by miraculously navigating his way through seven turbulent innings Sunday against the Royals for the win. Sipp took the loss. Gattis is batting. 158 with one RBI, five strikeouts, no walks and no extra-base hits over five games, yet hit fifth en route to finishing 1-for-4 while leaving four runners on base….

The Astros battled back with a Carlos Gomez solo home run in the second.

Correa went 4 for 4 and was hit by a pitch. Perez’s shot was the first with a runner on base.

“It’s incredible what you can accomplish when you don’t care who gets the credit….” “I just felt that the bats were going to come alive, and they really did in the eighth inning”.

Josh Donaldson, Chris Colabello and Kevin Pillar each went deep. Last postseason, the Royals rallied from a four-run deficit to eliminate the Athletics en route to the AL pennant.

Pillar’s drive was caught by Price, who was playing catch in the bullpen with Marcus Stroman. Cueto is 0-2 with a 5.52 ERA in four postseason starts, including a pedestrian outing in Game 2 against Houston. McHugh gave up two runs in six innings to earn a win in Game 1 of the ALDS. Two others were injured when part of the building collapsed late Monday in Kansas City, Missouri. They won the game, of course, but they also won back the magic that had been missing in this postseason.
