Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Chris Young is close to returning to the Kansas City Royals, according to multiple reports.

ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick is reporting that the Royals and reliever Joakim Soria are finalizing a three-year contract.
Soria broke into the majors with the Royals in 2007 and pitched there for five seasons, making two All-Star teams.
The Tigers were looking to bring back Soria after trading him to the Pirates at the deadline, but Soria will instead join an already established bullpen in Kansas City.
Soria, 31, finished the 2015 season with a 2.53 ERA and a 64/19 K/BB ratio over 67 2/3 innings. Young was also a key player for Kansas City in the postseason, pitching in two of the Royals’ World Series wins. Joel Sherman of the New York Daily News says the deal, which has not been confirmed by the club because Young still needs to pass a physical, will be worth between -11 million total.

The Royals have yet to confirm any of the deals, so stay tuned for official announcements.
