RSC Chairman Not Ready to Support Trump

Donald Trump on Tuesday climbed down under fire from Republican grandees in an explosive race row, insisting that days of belligerent attacks on a Mexican-American judge had been misconstrued.

Despite Ryan’s sharp rebukes of Trump, however, he maintained his support for the presumptive nominee while expressing hope that the tone of the campaign improves.

Last week, Trump said U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel’s opinion in a case against Trump University was being influenced by the judge’s heritage because of the candidate’s campaign rhetoric about Mexicans and illegal immigration.

The Governor’s Office has also declined to say whether Martinez voted for Trump in this week’s primary election. “He’s a Mitch McConnell kind of candidate”, Warren said in her prepared remarks. The senator claimed that although he opposes “the Democratic nominee”, the “racist” statements made by Donald Trump have prevented him from extending his support.

“Well, I think a Muslim ban does promote radicalization. That’s bottom line. We’ve been down this road a million times”. I know you want to build a wall and all (so do I), but the guy was born in Indiana.

“I will not stand silent if the party of Lincoln and the end of slavery buckles under the racial bias of a bigot”, Johnson said, referring to Trump. “That’s OK.’ And then he said it was not OK”.

“Bernie Sanders has been the drummer, moving our party forward on income inequality, economic justice, equal rights; ending wars of choice and so-called nation building overseas, rebuilding America and rebuilding a strong middle class. But now it’s time to unite under the banner of a progressive and inclusive platform to defeat Donald Trump and the forces that would roll back a century of progress for this nation”.

There’s a better way.

Denver7 contacted the Colorado GOP for a comment regarding Trump’s statements, but they chose not to comment.

“He’s a Mexican”, Trump told CNN’s Jake Tapper.

More recently Martinez has pushed to hear more from Trump about how he might protect federal support of New Mexico military bases and federal research laboratories.

TAPPER: But he’s American.

“He’s proud of his his heritage. And I think it’s particularly important between now and the convention that he does that”.
