Rubio A Possible Trump Running Mate?

Trump predicted that if the Republican National Convention devolves into a floor fight and he loses, ‘if I leave, all those people are gone, and the Republicans will go down to one of the great defeats in history’. As for a potential Rubio vice president: “There are people I have in mind in terms of vice president”. Scott Walker and John Kasich certainly thought so. I like Walker actually in a lot of ways. “There are people I like, but I don’t think they like me because I have hit them hard”. But I’ve always liked him.

Rubio and Trump regularly insulted each other on the trail, with Rubio insulting Trump’s hands (before later noting that he regretted the move) and Trump saying Rubio sweated profusely.

Trump’s vociferous style is hitting the headlines on many fronts and he has shown he is not adverse to calling out those who he disagrees with.Marco Rubio says he’s not open to being anyone’s running mate, and that when his Senate term expire in January he’ll return to the private sector.

Now, in response to the revelations that Trump would take Walker as vice president, the governor had this to say.

“The schools are a disaster, and they’re fighting like insane because there’s no money for the schools”.

So if Trump fails to win 1,237 delegates before the Republican Convention in July, a contested convention could occur and delegates previously “bound” to Trump would be released and would then be free to support any candidate.

“And he was totally in favor of Common Core”, the politically-charged education standards loathed by conservatives, Trump added. “I would be the worst vice president the country ever saw. He was totally in favor of [Common Core], which I hate”. Ted Cruz, before the Wisconsin primary last week, drawing withering attacks from Trump, who repeatedly assailed Walker’s record and even his riding a motorcycle. Everything Trump says – opposition to the Iraq War, criticism of trade and criticism of Washington – is right, she told me.

“Look, I am running for president of the US and that’s it”, Kasich said. “All he’s doing is just he goes from place to place, and loses, and he keeps on running”.

Asked in an interview with USA Today if he might give Florida Sen. “Yeah. I could”, Trump tells Powers, when asked if he could see himself appointing Rubio to a position in his cabinet.

“It’s kind of interesting to hear that after the things that were said about me a couple weeks ago”, Walker said. “We’re going to probably choose somebody that’s somewhat political”.
