Rubio aide urges Republican primary voters to vote for Kasich in Ohio
Alex Conant told The Associated Press on Friday that the only way to stop Trump from sweeping next week’s basket of winner-take-all contests is to vote for Kasich in OH and Rubio in Florida.

Rubio later echoed those comments himself at a news conference in West Palm Beach, Fla.
“John Kasich is the only one who can beat Donald Trump in Ohio”, Rubio said. The ad comes just days before Ohio’s primary on Tuesday and claims Kasich “helped Wall Street predator Lehman Brothers destroy the world economy” and criticizes the OH governor for spending time in states other than his own. Some Republicans committed to stopping Trump, including 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney, have suggested supporters should vote for whichever candidate is strongest against Trump in a particular state.
Polls show Kasich in a close fight in OH with Trump, while the NY billionaire appears to be leading Rubio in Florida, which has 99 delegates.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio argued Sunday that most Republicans would rather abstain from voting in the general election than vote for Mr. Trump.
“The only one who has a chance to beat Donald Trump in Florida is me”. The 12th GOP debate will be hosted at the University of Miami, where Donald Trump, Senator Ted Cruz, Rubio, and Kasich will take the stage.
But John E. Sununu, a former US senator from New Hampshire who co-chairs Kasich’s campaign, was willing to advocate for a Rubio win in Florida.
If Trump sweeps Ohio, Florida and IL in Tuesday’s primaries he will be tough to stop.
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says Republican Donald Trump is lying when he says the Sanders’ campaign sent the protesters that disrupted Trump’s rally in Chicago.
Fellow GOP candidates Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Texas Sen.
“I think we also have to look at the rhetoric coming from the front-runner in the presidential campaign”, Rubio said. Many quickly wondered whether Kasich would reciprocate, and conservative commentator Erick Erickson speculatively proclaimed that he thought a “deal” had been struck among the non-Trump candidates.

For Democrats, Sanders’ win last week in MI rattled Clinton, although she retains a huge lead in delegates and superdelegates according to AP estimates. “We’ve now reached a point where everyone on both sides everyone is just saying or doing whatever they want, and you know, you can’t just say or do whatever you want”, he said.
