Rubio calls Trump ‘con artist’ after debate

It was fight night in Houston on Thursday as the Republican candidates squared off one final time before the big Super Tuesday primary – and Donald Trump didn’t leave unscathed.

“He’s a nasty guy”, Trump said later. Rubio asked a crowd in Dallas.

Ted Cruz continues to raise the stakes for Super Tuesday, predicting on Friday that GOP frontrunner Donald Trump “could be easily unstoppable” if the billionaire sweeps the slate of March 1 primaries.

Hours after locking horns with Donald Trump at CNN’s Republican presidential debate, Marco Rubio continued to batter the GOP presidential front-runner, repeatedly calling him a “con artist” and saying he is “wholly unprepared to be president of the United States”.

Last June, in a tweet slamming one of his favorite targets, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell, Trump misspelled the word “dumber”.

In a series of television interviews, the USA senator from Florida said working-class voters are being fooled by Trump’s lofty promises, despite his own string of lawsuits and the bankruptcies of Trump-related companies. Cruz was on the attack too and Trump was Trump, he weathered it fairly well.

In return, Trump said Christie’s backing was one endorsement that he wanted to get in the race for the White House.

While Trump claims to oppose illegal immigration, he has made money off foreign workers, Cruz said.

Christie, a longtime friend of Trump’s, characterized the thrice-married casino magnate as the best “fighter” in the race, and the person most likely to defeat likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

If this election turns into an actual roast, you have to think that the edge goes to Trump, who has been roasted on Comedy Central before. And I’ll tell you, on Tuesday we’re going to have a very good night.

Rubio unleashed a barrage of attacks on Trump during Thursday’s Republican debate, targeting the latter’s character, business ethnics and political credentials. Donald Trump and me.

Rubio: I saw you repeat yourself five times five minutes ago. “And if you do, you will make me president and when I’m president we will do what needs to be done and we will leave for our children what Americans always leave for their children, the single greatest nation in the history of all of man kind”.
