Rubio challenges Cruz on immigration
His verbal assault came the morning after the two had one of the most memorable exchanges of Saturday night’s debate hosted by CBS, when Cruz attacked comments Rubio had made on Univision in Spanish about immigration.

Marco Rubio (R-FL), both of Cuban descent debated on the topic of immigration.
“Well first of all”, the Florida senator replied, “I don’t know how he knows what I said on Univision because he doesn’t speak Spanish”.
Asked if Rubio was calling Cruz’s Latino status into question, Rubio responded: “No, I was calling into question whether he even knows what I’m saying…” Ted Cruz, saying, “I don’t know how he [Cruz] knows what I said on Univision because he doesn’t speak Spanish”. “Everyone is against illegal immigration in a Republican primary, but as voters, we’ve been burned over and over again by people that give us a great campaign speech, and they don’t walk the walk”, Cruz said. “But to argue he’s a pursuit on immigration is just not true”. “And second of all, the other point I would make-in Spanish”.
“That is absolutely false”, Cruz shot back. “Here is the truth: Ted Cruz supported legalizing people in this country”. “Just in the last week he’s lied about my record on marriage, he’s lied about my record on Planned Parenthood, of course he lied about Ben Carson in Iowa”.
“The Rubio-Schumer amnesty plan passed the Senate and it was on the verge of passing the House”, he said.

Cruz: I would note not only that, Marco has a long record when it comes to amnesty. “If we have an immigration system that works, then we are not going to have so many”.
