Rubio, Christie planning sleepover with the Romneys – The World
Mitt Romney is hosting two rival Republican presidential contenders at a holiday sleepover.

Christie, who took a flight to the early-voting state hours after kicking off his presidential campaign in New Jersey on Tuesday, said he’s “confident there will be some politics discussed tonight” when he’s a guest at Romney’s house in Wolfeboro, N.H.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, who is also running for the GOP 2016 presidential nomination, is expected to walk in the parade as well, but it’s unclear if he’ll meet face-to-face with Romney or if he has received an invitation to the ex- Massachusetts governor’s home. “He and Mrs. Romney opened their home to their friends and look forward to celebrating America’s birthday”.
The Romneys own a $10 million vacation home in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, which happens to be where Christie is set to march in a local July Fourth parade. Three years later, Christie returned the favor, vigorously backing Romney in his unsuccessful challenge to President Barack Obama.
“It was great of him to reach out and contact me and say, ‘You’re gonna be up here, stay with us, ‘” he said.
“Mitt and Ann, as I’ve said many, many times are friends of ours”, Christie said.

Since that decision, Romney, reported the Washington Post, has spoken with Rubio at least twice on the phone and “encouraged and mentored the 43-year-old Florida senator about the political landscape, according to a Romney associate”.
