Rubio out, as remaining USA presidential hopefuls continue race for nominations
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio exited the race Tuesday, with 169 delegates.

Trump won Tuesday in Florida, North Carolina, and IL but fell in OH to that state’s governor, John Kasich.
“We are moving closer to securing the Democratic Party nomination and winning this election in November”, she said in a victory speech after OH was called in her favor.
Sanders, who was counting on his strong arguments against free trade, failed to make an impact on the industrial Midwest. Either candidate needs 2,383 delegates to win the Democratic nomination outright.
Mr Trump, speaking at his Mar-a-Lago beach front resort on Florida’s Atlantic Ocean coast, called on Republicans to unite behind him. Cruz, the other remaining Republican candidate, can win the general election.
The wins for Mrs Clinton added to her lead in pledged delegates, and appears to give her an nearly insurmountable edge over Mr Sanders.
The former secretary of state easily defeated Senator Bernie Sanders in Florida, Illinois, North Carolina and Ohio.
The reaction to Rubio suspending his campaign ran the gamut, and included plenty of mocking.
OH governor John Kasich won his home state in his first victory of the campaign.
Despite Mrs Clinton’s advance Mr Sanders told supporters in Phoenix, Arizona that his campaign has come a long way.
Mr Trump has upended the political establishment by winning most of the state-by-state competitions for delegates who will choose the Republican nominee.
“I’m going to get in a covered wagon and hope for a big breeze…”
Her wins on Tuesday put Ms Clinton in a commanding position to become the first woman in U.S. history to win a major party nomination. “There’s going to be a huge amount of excitement, and everybody will want to go the Republican National Convention whether you’re a delegate or not”.
Rubio also said that he hopes there is still time in the presidential race “to prevent a Trump nomination”.
Today’s primaries are being in several key states that could decide the final outcome of the Republican contest for the presidential candidate.

That’s because there are too few winner-take-all primaries for Cruz to collect enough delegates.
