Rubio: Planned Parenthood Should Not Get Taxpayer Money
National Right to Life President Carol Tobias said the movement against Planned Parenthood was gaining strength, calling it “a long-term project” and describing Planned Parenthood as “a major backer of many Democratic senators”.

“You’re going to see evidence of how Planned Parenthood is going to sell fully intact fetuses to buyers of aborted fetal tissue”.
Three Republican senators seeking the nomination, Texas’ Ted Cruz, Kentucky’s Rand Paul and Florida’s Marco Rubio, voted on Monday in favor of advancing the bill to defund Planned Parenthood. Several of them, including Sens.
Planned Parenthood provides multiple health services, including sexually transmitted disease testing & treatment, contraception, cancer screening and prevention, pregnancy tests, prenatal services, family practice services, adoption referrals and urinary tract infections treatments. Because I simply can not believe that in the year 2015, the United States Senate would be spending its time trying to defund women’s health care centers.
“It’s our obligation to protect our wives, our sisters, our daughters, our granddaughters” from the GOP’s “absurd policies”, said Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.
Ernst sponsored the measure as party leaders sought ways to blunt Democratic charges of GOP insensitivity to women.
Senate Democrats succeeded in stopping the bill on a procedural vote. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., a presidential candidate, was in New Hampshire and didn’t vote.
And each party was bracing for the fight to be revisited when Congress returns next month from its recess. This most recent effort to deflate Planned Parenthood was sparked by a series of videos released by the Center For Medical Progress – a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization that bills itself as “a group of citizen journalists … concerned about contemporary bioethical issues that impact human dignity” that’s led by a handful of longtime anti-abortion operatives. The videos have been contentious because of the casual descriptions by the Planned Parenthood officials of the abortion procedures they use to obtain tissue. “We need to know that Planned Parenthood is operating legally and complying with state laws regarding the safety of clinics”.
Cecile Richards, president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, in a statement said that “allegations that Planned Parenthood profits in any way from tissue donation is not true”.
Here is the video is you can stand another one.
Planned Parenthood centers make up 13% of the 4,168 health centers funded by Title X, according to the Guttmacher Institute, which researches reproductive health.
Melaney Linton, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, said in a statement Tuesday that “extremists” were targeting her organization with “outrageous and completely false claims”. Planned Parenthood and its allies say that would mean that many of its 2.7 million annual clients – many of whom are low-income women – would lose health care.
Republicans are likely to try again in September to stop Planned Parenthood from getting federal funds, which now amounts to more than $500 million a year.
Republican legislation to cut off federal funding for Planned Parenthood failed to gather enough support in the U.S. Senate on Monday, halting at least for now moves to punish the women’s health group for its role in gathering fetal tissue from abortions for medical research.

The federal government also does not pay for any abortions, including PP, with exception for cases of rape, incest and health risks posed to a woman.
