Rubio Vows to Turn Back Marriage Decision By Appointing SCOTUS Justices
Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio says the Supreme Court’s ruling to allow same-sex marriage is “bad law” and that it should have been left up to state legislatures to change the definition of marriage.

“What he did to Obamacare was disgraceful and I think he did it because he wanted to be popular in the Beltway”, Trump said of the chief justice, appointed in 2005 by President George W. Bush, brother of current Republican candidate Jeb Bush.
“And that’s why some people get married in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator and in Florida you got to wait a couple of days when you get your permit”, Rubio suggested. Every state has different marriage laws.
As of 2015, Pew Research Center polling demonstrates 57% of Americans are now in favor of same-sex marriage, while just 39% remain opposed – and a Supreme Court decision in June legalized same-sex marriage nationwide.
Rubio believes that marriage should remain a state and local law concern, and that federal government should stay out of it. Marco Rubio (R-FL), who he said he didn’t see as having a “natural constituency”. And that’s why if you want to change the definition of marriage, which is what this argument is about. “Not only has he signed NOM’s Presidential Marriage Pledge, but he’s the sponsor of one of our key agenda items – a constitutional amendment to restore the right of states to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman”.
‘It is the current law.
Cruz, who backed the USA Freedom Act, which ended the bulk metadata program, has argued US intelligence agencies can work through the courts to get any surveillance approval they need – while Rubio says that jeopardizes US security.
In the “Meet the Press” interview, Rubio was also pressed about same-sex marriage. Many of those voters would like to turn the clock back to when they were younger and the world seemed less complicated, when their values were the country’s values. He further stated that marriage is a state’s rights issue and therefore the ability of same sex couples to marry should be defined by each state.
Opposition to same-sex marriage gives Democrats ammunition against Rubio’s core message that he’s the candidate that best reflects the future of America. Rubio is saying that he will appoint new justices who do not intend to respect the Obergefell decision. Rubio’s voice and face reveal a wince of disgust, as if somehow anti-gay, anti-abortion voters are victims. “This week in response to both of these decisions, I have called for another constitutional amendment-this one that would make members of the Supreme Court subject to periodic judicial retention elections”, said Cruz.

As for his favorites, Trump said conservative Justice Antonin Scalia was “terrific”, but he singled out Justice Clarence Thomas as “highly underrated”. Cruz is a rightwing insane.
