Rudy Giuliani claims no successful terror attacks on USA soil before Obama
Given that Giuliani’s entire post-mayoral career has been based on the fact that he was the mayor of New York City when the World Trade Center was destroyed on September 11, 2001 – eight months into Bush’s first term, and more than seven years before Obama succeeded him – it was a freaky mistake for him to make. “They attacked the World Trade Center in 1993”, Giuliani said.

Obama was sworn into office in January 2009.
Giuliani was up on the podium at the rally in OH to introduce Trump and make the case for him to win the White House in the 2016 presidential election in November. Introducing Mike Pence, he told the crowd, “You know better than I do what a great governor he is of your state!”
In 2010, on United States morning talk show Good Morning America, Giuliani claimed: “What he [Obama] should be doing is following the right things that Bush did – one of the right things he did was treat this as a war on terror”.
Giuliani was the mayor of New York City during the September 11 attacks – his handling of which formed much of the basis of his short-lived bid for the office of president in 2007-08. When almost 3,000 lives perished on 9/11, though, his composed response made him popular enough that he ran for president himself in 2008.
Cuomo pointed out what many pundits have been saying all week: Once Trump is president, he can not have people like Mike Pence and Rudy Giuliani coming to his defense to clarify Trump-isms every time the billionaire makes a mindless blunder.
However, it seems that Giuliani was not denying the attacks – after all, he was talking about them just moments before.

“What does that mean ‘he kept the country safe after 9/11?’ In other words, we had this major catastrophe after that”. He went on to ask himself, then answer a rhetorical question: “Will I say things in the future that can be taken out of context or misinterpreted?” “What about during 9/11?” I was there. I lost a lot of friends that were killed in that building. The worst terrorist attack in American history came along before Obama was president. Also blames him for every sinus attack in the US. That’s [like saying] the team scored 19 runs in the first inning, but after that we played well. “I think about it every day”.
