Rugby fans urged not to buy World Cup tickets from touts

At the time of writing getsporting.com was still up and running and advertising tickets for dozens of Rugby World Cup games.

Fans are being contacted in the name of (or using trademarks associated with) RWCL, Rugby World Cup 2015 and/or World Rugby (formerly known as the global Rugby Board).

They have been branded as “greedy” and “ridiculous” by sports fans who now face either leaving their newborns at home, trying to get hold of a coveted spare ticket or paying for a full-price adult seat for their babies in order to be at the kick off.

Superintendent Jo Edwards, spokeswoman for the policing of the Rugby World Cup, said people should avoid buying tickets from touts at all costs. ER2015 reserves the right to cancel without refund any tickets which ER2015 reasonably believes have been or are intended to be resold, offered, exposed or made available for sale, or transferred or otherwise disposed in breach of the ticketing terms and conditions.

Tickets purchased or obtained from any other source shall be void and may be seized or cancelled without refund or compensation.
