Rummenigge tells off Ribery for Guardiola dig

Pep Guardiola has commented on Franck Ribery’s scathing attack, during which the Bayern Munich star insisted the Spaniard “talks too much” and is “inexperienced”.

His comments drew a sharp response from Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Pep was all about dominant football and about having the ball.

“We have won a lot of things during Guardiola’s time in charge”.

Ribery also revealed that he feels trusted again under the new Bavarian boss, Carlo Ancelotti while praising Jupp Heynckes and Ottmar Hitzfeld, his former managers at Bayern under whom he had played before.

Guardiola won 14 trophies in four years in his first managerial assignment with boyhood club Barcelona from 2008-2012, then after a year-long sabbatical claimed seven in three years with Bayern Munich before taking up his new role at Manchester City this summer. He is a young coach.

“About Ribery, I must say I love him very much”, he said at a press conference, as quoted by FourFourTwo.

Ribery, who was named captain for the tie, scored one of the goals alongside a Julian Green hat-trick, but was most notable for clashing with Inter midfielder Felipe Melo. “I told him that he had better put a stop to it”, Ancelotti told journalists after the match.
