Earlier today the PC version of the game developed by Hideo Kojima and his team has received a new update which apparently removes a few of the items of the game. It ultimately led to the cancellation of the studio’s Silent Hills reboot.

The article concludes that Kojima will now have to wait until December before seeking new employment, as there’s a non-compete clause in his contract.

Kojima had been with Konami for nearly 30 years and was without a doubt its most famous employee; as well as creating the million-selling Metal Gear series, he produced cult classics such as Snatcher, Policenauts and Zone of the Enders. “The growing cost of console development, allied to a shrinking domestic market, have made these games increasingly unviable without global success”, said David McCarthy of Cybird, a Tokyo-based developer.
