Rumor: Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk Will Return For ‘Thor: Ragnarok’
The last time we saw ol’ Bruce Banner/Hulk, he was flying off into the sunset in a Quinjet, which supposedly crashed in the ocean somewhere with no sign of the man or beast to be seen. Working up new solo Hulk films have seemingly been a bane in Marvel’s existence, so pairing him with Thor is a potential solution for that, and if Ragnarok is as important as has been said for setting up the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (there have been comparisons to Captain America: The Winter Soldier), why not have Big Green involved?

That’s what JoBlo is claiming today, citing sources that tell us that Mark Ruffalo will return as the Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok.
If you trace all the stories we’ve run about Hulk and his off-world adventures, it’s an interesting picture of how Marvel develops an idea from film to film until they finally find the version they like the most. Thor and Hulk battling forces on a distant planet?
You’d be forgiven for getting the impression that Marvel don’t really know what to do with the Hulk. Since Silver Surfer is technically a part of Fantastic Four franchise, he is unavailable for Marvel because Fox owns its film rights. Fans have been expecting Marvel to go down this path for a while, and if Hulk has indeed somehow found himself in another dimension, the storyline doesn’t seem that far fetched. Would you like to see Hulk and/or Loki appear in the next Thor film? Where he’ll show up is anyone’s guess-some believe he’ll make a brief appearance in Captain America: Civil War, while others have said it’ll be a while before we see him again. Hope Van Dyne will suit up in Ant-Man And The Wasp.
Just recently it was announced that Taika Waititi (What We Do In the Shadows) would be directing Thor: Ragnarok and with that major piece of business done, it could be that casting is close to underway.

In the meantime, Thor: Ragnarok comes to theaters on November 3, 2017.
