The Wolverine 2 just might be introducing X-23.

Are you excited about potentially seeing X-23 on the big screen and sharing the stage with the original Wolverine?
Hugh Jackman will reprise his role of Wolverine for the upcoming film along with Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Boyd Holbrook as the film’s lead villain. In other words, take it with a little sprinkling of salt. X-23 has gone on to become a fan-favorite character and a member of the All-New X-Men and X-Force, in addition to her stints in Avengers Academy and New X-Men. She was raised in captivity to be a killing machine, but was eventually able to break free of Weapon X and try to reclaim her life.
It wouldn’t be remotely surprising to see this movie – believed to be a loose adaptation of the Old Man Logan storyline – utilise a similar storyline here, and giving Wolverine a sidekick of sorts who has the potential to carry her own movie down the line would also work well. It was unclear exactly who this was supposed to be, but now SuperheroHype is reporting that X-23 is making her cinematic debut in Wolverine 3, who would fit the above descriptions. And if the character proves a hit, the possibilities seem endless.

There haven’t been a lot of details released regarding Wolverine 3, but the highly anticipated film has successfully built up quite the hype over the past few months. Wolverine even developed a father-daughter bond with X-23, who now goes by the name Laura Kinney. When Logan died in 2015, X-23 took up Wolverine’s mantle.
