RUMOURS: Man Utd want £22m Monaco right-back Fabinho
Monaco will no doubt want to keep hold of the player but the newspaper suggests that United are willing to pay a whopping £22m to land Fabinho and the large fee will help with any work permit application.

Manchester United want to be kept informed about the situation of Monaco defender Fabinho, according to the Daily Mail.
New United manager José Mourinho has already secured the signings of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and the club are thought to be working hard to seal a potential £100 million deal for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
But it seems Mourinho is not done spending just yet, with a move for the 22-year-old defender on the cards.
And bookmakers BetStars have priced United at 6/4 favourites for Fabinho’s signature, with Napoli (7/2) and City (4/1) trailing in the betting market.
Fabinho is a four-cap Brazil worldwide, and, in typical Brazilian full-back style, he loves to get forward and join the attack.
Fabinho, who’s one of Monaco’s key players, can play at right-back and in midfield.
Blessed with tremendous pace and athleticism, Fabinho is a force to be reckoned with at both ends of the pitch. The club have had a long-standing interest in the 22-year-old Brazil global and they are still tracking the player, who could cost in excess of £20million.

After the friendly match against Wigan earlier on in the week, Mourinho experimented with his right back position, having Timothy Fosuh-Mensah starting as right back in the first half and then the Dutch youngster was replaced by Antonio Valencia in the second half, with the Ecuadorian then assuming the captaincy for the rest of the match.
