After season 20 of The Bachelor ended with perpetual “nice-guy” Bachelor Ben proposing to Lauren Bushnell on the show’s finale Monday night, it was time to crown the next Bachelorette.

Now, Fletcher says she hopes to find “someone who makes me laugh, someone who is kind and genuine and adventurous”. “For example, the other night, I like to pray first before we go to bed”, Higgins interjected.
On this week’s finale, Ben Higgins, 26, a software salesman raised in IN and now living in Denver, proposed to Lauren Bushnell, a flight attendant living in Los Angeles.
Once Higgins got down on one knee to ask Bushnell to marry him, Twitter users were up in arms about the decision. Ben had previously professed his love for both ladies, so viewers were all spaced out as to what to expect.
She even insisted that watching the show helped her because she could tell there was ‘a very big difference between the way he looked at Lauren and the way he looked at me’.
In fact, back during The Bachelor’s “The Women Tell All”, Ben said he would marry the victor tomorrow if he could. “At the end of the day, we just want to get married and have a wedding with our families and friends there to celebrate, so, whether it’s on TV or not, I don’t know if we’ve given it much thought”.
Though JoJo was clearly still a bit upset about how the Bachelor finale ended, she was happy to confirm that she’s been tapped to be the next star of The Bachelorette. “So, I wasn’t shocked initially”, Bushnell, 25, said.
So, why was Higgins regarded as one of the most popular “Bachelors” to date?
Lauren Bushnell, who has been engaged to Ben Higgins for four months now, said she has no doubts at all about her current relationship with the Higgins family.
On cue, JoJo arrived by helicopter trusting that Ben wouldn’t let her down, but sadly, he soon did.

But Ben and Lauren are moving in together! Well, Chris Harrison took that to heart and invited Ben and Lauren’s parents and Ben’s pastor and brought in decorations for a Bachelor wedding on “After the Final Rose”.
