That was fast! Former model Jerry Hall and media mogul Rupert Murdoch officially tied the knot in London on Friday, March 4, less than two months after the pair surprisingly announced their engagement.

They got married at Princess Diana’s family townhouse, Spencer House, an 18-century palace in central London still owned by the late Diana’s brother, the Earl Spencer, and said to be the finest of London’s surviving palaces of the era.
They are thought to have started dating shortly beforehand after being introduced by one of Murdoch’s sisters and his niece in Australia when she was performing in The Graduate.
A spokesman later told the publication: ‘They have loved these past months together, are thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future’.
St Bride’s history on its website says: “On January 24 1986, some 6,000 newspaper workers went on strike after the breakdown of negotiations with Rupert Murdoch’s News International, parent of Times Newspapers and News Group Newspapers”.
Britain’s newspapers were based on Fleet Street until Murdoch moved his printing presses to east London in 1986 to escape the grip of the powerful printers’ unions.
The octogenarian’s pending marriage to the Texan model will be his fourth walk down the aisle – Rupert’s marriage to his most recent wife and american businesswoman, Wendi Deng Murdoch, ended in 2013.
The couple’s six daughters – including two of Hall’s and four of Murdoch’s – from previous relationships were bridesmaids at the service.
The actual wedding will take place on Saturday at the historic Fleet Street’s St. Brides Church.
Now that the official part is done, the newlyweds can focus on celebrating with their guests on Saturday morning when up to 200 friends and family are expected to attend the high-profile London wedding.
She married the Rolling Stones frontman in Bali in 1990, but their marriage was later disputed as it was not properly conducted.

The pair, who had four children together, parted after 23 years.
