Russell Simmons offers Broncos LB Brandon Marshall endorsement deal

The silent protest against the national anthem has pitted San Francisco backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the Broncos’ Brandon Marshall against self-aggrandizing Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and swimsuit model Kate Upton in a war of words refereed by Denver Police Chief Robert White.

“I just lost another endorsement”, Marshall said.

Although Marshall will draw $12.553 million from the Broncos in salary and signing bonus this year, Air Academy Federal Credit Union, based in Colorado Springs, quickly dumped Marshall on Friday morning.

“Just because we hit Cam in the head a couple of times, that doesnt make us dirty, ” insisted linebacker Brandon Marshall, who had one of four helmet-to-helmet hits on Carolinas big quarterback in the Broncos 21-20 win over the Panthers on Thursday night.

It started last Thursday when Marshall made a decision to take a knee during the singing of the national anthem, a trend first started by San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Marshall may have been a little more off-put by his loss of communications company CenturyLink.

“It’s an evil world”.

“It became pretty clear to me that his kneeling was to speak to the injustices that he feels are going across in our country”, White said.

“This is an opportunity, to use a football analogy, to ‘move the ball forward, ‘ ” White said Tuesday, after meeting with Marshall for almost an hour at police headquarters. I’m not here to respond to the hate.

“I’m a likable guy”. “At what point do we take a stand and as a people say this isn’t right”.

Linebacker Brandon Marshall was one of the players who got a hit on Newton, but he’s positive Denver doesn’t take cheap shots or play dirty on the field.

It’s been almost a week since Marshall became the latest football player to take a knee during the national anthem, a move that has sparked debate nationally and locally. There’s no backlash from me. “For this reason, while we wish Brandon the best this season, we are politely terminating our agreement with him”. “Only love can drive out hate”. “It’s not going to make me lose any sleep”.

“Do I support him kneeling?” I didnt think it was that type of play.”. “They’ll tell us, ‘This has been referred for discipline.’ And I appreciate the fact that they go through their process as well”.

“I’m definitely with Kaepernick”, said Marshall.
