Russell Wilson’s ankle injury is reportedly significant, Week 2 status in question

Just as quick, that opportunity for the Dolphins to pull off a stunning upset to open the season was gone at the hands of Wilson as Seattle rallied in the closing seconds for a 12-10 win over Miami.

Wilson, who has never missed a game or practice during his first four seasons in the National Football League, may be talking tough right now, but Carroll acknowledged the ankle is swollen, leading to the possibility Wilson may miss some practice time this week to receive treatment.

“It was fantastic to get him back – and most of all for him”, Carroll said”. There’s no question in his mind he’s. playing. “So I’m going to go along with that until I can’t”.

Earlier in the day, NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported the sprained ankle was enough that Wilson’s availability for Week 2 is in doubt.

Another game-winning drive for Wilson to add to his resume, but one that wasn’t expected against the Dolphins.

“He’s been banged up at times”. He never flinches. He never wavers. If he were to play even with a minor injury, it could get serious.

“On a day with so much going on, we really wanted to get out of here with a win, and that’s what we did”, Carroll said.

If the injury to Wilson will knock him out of the lineup for an extended period of time, the Seahawks may look to sign a veteran free agent quarterback.

“I was pretty limited”, Wilson said.

With Wilson having his reps in practice this week closely monitored, Carroll said the Seahawks may bring in another quarterback.

Anyway, should Wilson be sidelined, expect undrafted rookie (and former Texas Christian University standout) Trevone Boykin to step in for next Sunday’s tilt against the new-look Rams.

Parker, a second-year receiver who is supposed to make a profound impact this season, has dealt with hamstring issues so far this year and it is unclear when he will see the field. Rawls was in for 22 snaps and had 12 rushes for 32 yards. Foster had a 50-yard catch-and-run reception, but finding room in the running game was hard. “He did very well, blocked well when he had his chances, and it worked out well”, Carroll said of Graham.

Williams has been durable throughout his career, missing only one game since a torn pectoral muscle caused him to sit out 11 games in 2011 while playing for the Houston Texans.

And Upton wasn’t the only one hitting up social media to chastise the Miami players. And obviously, that Miami ran so few plays made it easier to leave those guys out there longer.
